Free text (freeform) answers mean the learner can type in their own answer in reply to what the character is saying. They can be implemented in scene content view.
To use free text, first a scene must be converted to a free text scene.
Then you must enter a name for a button that will be used to submit the free text answer.
The learner will receive a question or statement from the character, enter their free text answer, click the button and be immediately directed to the next scene.
Free text answers are useful only in a BranchTrack Class context where manual grading is available. There the creators of the Class can evaluate the given free form answer.
The maximum length of a free text answer is 500 characters.
